Golf: The Costa del Sol has the largest number of golf courses in Europe with many within close driving distance of Mijas. Golf courses less than 15 minutes drive include: Mijas Golf Club - Los Lagos, Mijas Golf Club - Los Olivos, La Siesta Golf Club, Santa Maria Golf and Country Club, Cabopino Golf, Miraflores Golf Club. Travel / Distances: Traffic on the coast increases significantly during the peak holiday season so times vary. Fuengirola bus station serves local and longer distance buses on the Costa del Sol. Fuengirola railway station is located underground a block away from the bus station. Look out for this sign above the station. Train Service to Málaga Airport and to Málaga RENFE Railway Station Málaga City Alameda Station. First train 07.15 then at 45 and 15 minutes past the hour. Last train 23.45. As a guide, Malaga airport is 20 minutes drive. Marbella 20 minutes drive. You may take the bus directly to Malaga (25 km east), Marbella (30 km west), Estepona (50 km west) and Algeciras (50 km west) and Mijas (8 km inland). Skiing: Less than 3 hours drive from the Sierra Nevada ski resort. |
