La Cala is a typical fishing village affectionately know to local residents. The area was protected by a watchtower in the 16th century. The tower still remains but part of it is used for tourist information. The view from the top of the tower has to be seen to be believed. The apartment overlooks the sea. The long beaches are well cared for, clean and the sand is soft and golden. Beautiful enclosed gardens, swimming pool. 30 minutes from Malaga airport. 10 minutes from Fuengirola. 20 minutes from Marbella. Local market Wednesdays and Saturdays. Many restaurants. Banks and shops. Top class golf courses nearby with excellent club facilities, non menbers welcome, eqpt.hire. Frequent bus service to all local destinations including Gibralter |

Location: There is a wealth of facilities for all ages within a few minutes walking distance. The beach, a variety of shops, banks, restaurants, bars, internet facilities, a frequent bus service, agent for excursions, bureau de change (commission free) local market twice weekly, launderette, car hire, bowling green, race course, golfing course. Ideal base for the port of Malaga, Marbella, Porto Banus, Gibraltar, Ronda, Tangier. Golf: There is a superb 18 hole golf course (El Chapperal) at the bottom of the garden. The club house has excellent catering facilities. Accessibility: Although access to the apartment is at road level the gardens are mainly accessible by steps. However the gardens are also accessible without using the internal steps. There is a pool shower and toilets. The gardens are fenced and safe for children. |
