The Penthouse: A luxury but affordable penthouse two bedroom apartment with private rooftop solarium offering spectacular views overlooking the Tomas Maestre Marina, the Mediterranean sea and the Marmenor on the Los Miradores del Puerto complex. The property is fully furnished and boasts several balconies, two bathrooms, lounge & dining area, fully equipped kitchen, utility area, Air conditioning and under floor heating. There is lift and stairs access to the 7th floor. The property is close to a wide variety restaurants, bars, supermarkets and shops catering for all ages and tastes so it is suitable for families and couples. There are many activities close by including Golf at the famous La Manga club which boasts three championship courses and a wide variety of water sports and beach activities. For those that enjoy self catering the supermarket on the complex sells fresh bread, meat and local fish which makes it ideal for dining in or for BBQ's on the rooftop solarium. Location: The region of Murcia is a beautiful part of Spain locally known as the market garden of Spain as the rich soil, irrigation techniques and warm climate make it ideal for growing all types of fruit and vegetables.Murcia has many unspoilt beaches along the Costa Calida(warm coast). The region boasts 320 days of sunshine per year and average temperatures of 17 degrees in the winter and 27 degrees in the summer months. The la Manga strip is a unique feature in Europe, 21 km of land with sandy beaches and sea on both sides. You are never more than a few metres from the sea and it is difficult to imagine a more idyllic place for lovers of water sports, marinas and beaches.Because of the large expanse of coastline the beaches ( including many Blueflag) never get over populated even in the height of summer. This is a unique location in Europe because where else could you see the sunrise over one sea ( the Mediterranean) and set over another sea ( the Marmenor). The Mar Menor: The Marmenor is Europe's largest lagoon which maintains a warm sea temperature in whatever stage of the year with an average of 18 degrees. The Romans and Arabs built thermal baths around the coast and to this day people visit the area for the therapeutic properties of the bathing. There are also pockets of therapeutic mud which is sought after ( mainly by the Spanish ) to cover their bodies and bake in the sunshine which is very good for skin problems, rheumatism and arthritic conditions. It is a very amusing sight! The waters are rich in iodine and never get deeper than 7 metres and with an absence of tides it makes for a natural swimming pool and a haven for water sports such as jet skis, kite surfing, sailing boats and fishing. The warm crystal clear waters, shallow shore lines and beach inflatables attract many families in the summer months. Golf: The famous La Manga club is within easy reach ( 20 mins) with its three championship courses and other facilities. Numerous other courses are within easy reach including:- Mosa Trajectum, Roda, La Torre, La Finca, Hacienda del Alamo. A 9 hole pitch and putt and driving range are a 2 minute drive away. |
